Traslados

There once was an ancient civilization who when they would go to war, would consume the hearts of their enemies to help them gain their strength and become victorious.... I guess I'll be able to jump a lot higher now, because I tried rabbit heart for the first time this week. Ha. That was part of a pueblos visit that we had this week. That was a cool trip; we spent all day in a pueblos then ate rabbit with a member afterwards.

The zone leaders had a super cool milagro happen to them. They were only talking to people for 20 minutes when they found a woman who said that her daughter was investigating the church. They find the daughter and it turns out she has been in Ecuador for 2 months. While in Ecuador, she was about to be baptized but didn't have time. Since then, she has been looking for the church here in Spain. She came with us to a member cita and already is starting to hit it off with them, which is great.

Another thing that happened this week was an intercambio with Elder Jepson. That was super fun. Even though all of the citas we had set up failed, we had time to talk. It was super good; I learned a lot.

Ok, I'm to that point where I can't remember what else happened... I wrote it down in a book, but I forgot to take a pic, and I'm not in piso right now. Sorry.

So the only other big news is transfers! So here's what's new.

My new companion, Elder Freire from Portugal
Elder Phillips and Elder Ferguson are back home and Elder Simmons is in Barrio 1. My new companion is Elder Freire from Portugal. Also coming is Elder Barnes who will be with Elder Jepson and Elder Bodhaine who will be with Elder Mangum. We also have coming in Hermana Rude who will be training. Big change, Alcorcon is no longer a part of our district. They are still in our zone though which is good. Another big change is that I'm now district leader; that kinda caught me off guard. We are currently waiting for Elder Jepson’s new comp and bowling. Pretty fun; although, I'm not doing the best.

There really isn't anything else that is new. Life is good, I'm a missionary, what more can be said?

This Sunday, I was thinking about the importance of the sacrament. Every Sunday we go to church for 3 hours, but the most important part of that only takes about 20 minutes. Sometimes because of how often we have the opportunity, I think I can tend to forget the importance and the sacredness of the ordinance. That's one thing I'm trying to get better at, because when we partake of the sacrament, we are renewing eternal covenants and completing the process of repentance. Not only that, we are also remembering our Savior and all that He did for us and all that He still does for us. We can't let such a sacred ordinance ever become commonplace. I love you all and invite everyone to ponder more on the importance of the sacrament.
